Epiphany 2016

IMA HOUSTON won't be International without sharing international cultures. The Epiphanie is one of them!

L'épiphanie or epiphany is also know as the "Three Kings' Day", or "Día de Reyes" and is celebrated in France, but also in Russia, Mexico and other countries. In France we traditionnaly eat what we called "la galette des rois", while in Mexico we share the "Rosca de Reyes". Two different cakes, both usuallly containing a charm, a porcelain or plastic figurine, called a fève (bean in French),  with a similar meaning.

This year, at IMA HOUSTON, we decided to share the french "GALETTE DES ROIS" (Kings' cake), a round, flat, and golden cake made with flake pastry and often filled with frangipane (eggs, almond flour, sugar).

It was a great success, and everybody enjoy this french tradition!

Another friendly time at IMA HOUSTON! thank you to the ladies who prepared the Galette des rois!
